The Dutch submarines O9, 10 and 11 were being filmed leaving Den Helder Naval Base when a tug collided with O11.  O11 sank and three men died.  The incident was reported on newsreels.

In Finland fighting continued to the south, east and west of Viipuri.   The Finnish Foreign Minister asks if the Allies were still prepared to offer military assistance.  The Allies demanded a formal request from Finland by March 12.  At the same time delegates left for Moscow to negotiate an armistice with the USSR.

The British cruiser HMS Berwick intercepted the German freighter Uruguay northeast of Iceland.  Uruguay’s crew set her on fire and Berwick sank her with gunfire.

British MPs protested the Land Transfers Regulations in Palestine, but a motion of censure brought against the government was defeated.

Game day 188. Germany

Germany collected 10 Industrial Resource Points.  Twelve new Infantry battalions were deployed.

The surface raiders in the South Atlantic continued to head for the Caribbean while the submarine pack in the North Atlantic reached the south-west tip of Ireland.
