Restricted life

Over the past few days I have discovered, to a limited extent, how hard it is to use modern technology without the advantage of a right arm, and to a certain extent, if one is left-handed.

I managed to reconfigure my trackball pointing device to left handed operation, but still find it very difficult to use in “mirror image” mode. and without “sticky keys” enabled “ctrl-alt-del” is impossible (unless a pencil in the mouth is used for the “delete” key).

The last time I had this issue was when a horse broke my left arm, but at least I still had my dominant arm available.

Respect to those who manage these issues every day.

  1. Broke my right 4th metacarpal some years back, but could still pick my nose with my left hand, so not too bad 🙂

    Wishing you a speedy recovery.

    Regards, Chris.
