Japan collected 12 Industrial Resource points.

Transport ships from the Philippine Sea and the Sea of Japan converged on Shanghai, supported by six Battleships. After a preliminary bombardment destroying four of the five Chinese armoured battalions in Shanghai twelve infantry battalions were disembarked.  The city was captured and with it Kwangtung and all its resources.

At the same time, to prevent the Chinese from counter-attacking, three fighter squadrons from Manchukuo attacked the armoured column on the border with China. One armoured battalion was destroyed for the loss of one squadron.
