It’s day 4 of my self-imposed sojourn in the caravan as a result of Government advice to isolate myself. Fortunately, so far the weather has been kind and I have been able to spend much of each day in the garden.
Today I ought to start stripping the old varnish from our summer house prior to a new wood treatment. I really ought to have started that two days ago, but I have wasted several hours trying to glue minuscule magnets to 1/600 scale metal fighter aircraft and their plastic stands. I have discovered that Gorilla super strength gel glue, no matter how long it is left to set, is not as strong as the magnetic attraction of these tiny discs.
Eventually I gave up and went back to the less elegant, but workable, solution of a small plastic tube attached with Bostik (see below). It is clumsier but works OK when viewed from above.

On a brighter note, this morning I spotted the very first blossom on the self-seeded replacement for the two greengage trees that we lost in the fire back in July 2017. This tree looks to be flourishing and should provide delicious fruit in a few more years time.

Stay safe, keep well. All the best, Paul
