The British Malaya Force was formed to watch German merchant ships in the Dutch East Indies, including the destroyers HMS Stronghold and HMS Tenedos, the cruisers HMS Dauntless, HMS Danae and HMS Durban, the sloop HMS Falmouth and the submarines HMS Perseus and HMS Rainbow.

A British submarine intercepted the German merchantman Edmund Hugo Stinnes IV en route to Copenhagen.  Warning shots were fired. The ship was run ashore and then sunk with torpedoes.

IRA prisoners rioted in Dartmoor Prison, Devon.

Hermann Goering ordered a halt to transportation of Jews to Eastern Europe.  He was ignored.

Game day 205. Turkey.

Turkey deployed six infantry battalions in response to the perceived Soviet threat at its north-eastern border.
