I have decided it might be a good idea to stop watching the news and start watching my DVDs of the BBC series: “Survivors” instead. The drama series seems to be, in the UK, the more realistic!
I could also re-read Alex Scarrow’s “Last Light”, or even Willliam Forstchen’s “One Second After” and their sequels, just for a more optimistic view of life.

“Survivors” is more optimistic than 12 monkeys, but series 3 gets a bit self-indulgent. Bedtime listening this week: Carolyn Seymour reading Terry Nation’s original novel.
Also recommended: “Last Light” and “Afterlight” by Alex Scarrow. A different premise with similar effects.
