The Finnish Parliament met to debate ratification of the Moscow Peace Treaty.  450,000 Finnish civilians started to leave Karelia and the Salla region, ceded to USSR.

British Foreign Minister Lord Halifax asked Finland to return the war materiel supplied by Britain. The Finnish ambassador advised that Finland paid for everything and intended to keep it.

Hermann Göring asked Germans to collect metal objects and donate them to the state as a present for  Hitler’s 51st birthday on 20th April.

The exiled Polish government in France published documents revealing that The Germans asked the Poles in 1935 for support in an invasion of the Ukraine.

27 of 30 Chinese fighter aircraft were shot down by the Japanese over Chengu.

Game day 196. Japan

Four transport ships docked at Okinawa.  Two more made for Kyoto on Japan’s west coast.

Six armoured battalions were deployed in Japan.  Four fighter squadrons in Manchukup moved to the southern tip of the Korean peninsula to bring Shanghai into protective range.
