The Estonian steamer Anu hit a mine and sank east of Dundee, Scotland  This minefield in the mouth of River Tay was laid on Dec 12 1939 by U-13.

In Britain, “Careless Talk Costs Lives” slogan appeared on posters.  The government imposed restrictions on the BBC regarding the reporting of ship losses.  Four people were killed by an IRA bomb at Euston Railway Station, London.

Game day 159. Japan

Japan Collected 12 Industrial Resource Points.  A factory complex was built in Manchkuo.

The two fighter squadrons in Manchukuo launched an attack on the Chinese infantry south-west of Peking.  Both squadrons were lost for no gain.

A convoy of transports carrying an armoured corps sailed to reinforce Shanghai.
