The British Aircraft Carrier Ark Royal and the Cruiser Renown arrived in Cape Town.
RAF Wellington bombers attacked German shipping and claimed a hit on a cruiser. One aircraft failed to drop one of its bombs which later fell onto the island of Heligoland, making this the first British bomb to be dropped on Germany. The squadron was attacked by German fighters and one ME109 may have been shot down, according to post-action reports. All 24 Wellingtons returned safely.
Game day 94. Neutral Countries
Italy was building up her forces in preparation for war in 1941. A fleet of merchant ships was launched in southern Italy.
Finland mobilised a second Infantry Corps in view of the Russian threat.

In the rest of Europe there was no activity in the Balkan States, Hungary, Norway, Denmark, The Netherlands or Belgium. In South America, the Middle East and Asia nothing happened.
In the USA a merchant fleet was launched at San Francisco. On the east coast, 5 British merchant ships were loaded with 15 points of Industrial Resource cargo for Britain.
