(The continuing story of a solo wargaming campaign)

6th October 1939

Historical

The Chinese defeated the Japanese in the Battle of Chang-sha (about half-way between Hong Kong and Peking).

Game day 36. China

1st Mongolian Infantry Corps (now only a division in strength) continued southwards into Kwangtung).  2nd Chinese Infantry Corps moved to defend Peking.  A new (4th) Infantry Corps was deployed south of Peking and 3rd Corps moved east from Sinkiang into China.

Two new Infantry Corps were recruited for deployment in November (one each in Singkiang and China).  Kwangtung province was disputed after the landing of the Japanese in Shanghai, so no new troops could be recruited there.
