France mobilises

The French, having declared war against Germany on 3rd September, mobilized their reserves.  A total of 15 IPCs was collected, but only 6 in metropolitan France. With 6 IPCs available, they recruited 2 infantry corps for October 1st. The remainder were stockpiled for the future.

The bulk of their forces being located on the eastern borders of France, no movement was made.

Apart from the forces in France, there were Foreign Legion Infantry Corps in Algeria and Indo-China.
