Eighty Years on – 3rd September 1939

(being the report of a solo wargaming campaign)

3rd September 1939

Britain declares war.

The British Empire can raise a total of 26 Industrial points from her 15 territories.  Of these, only Great Britain has the industrial capacity to raise new units.  With 8 points, 5 are allocated to building AA defences and 3 on recruiting a new infantry corps, available after 1st October.

A convoy sailed from the south coast transporting infantry to France.  A second convoy left Liverpool for Canada. A flotilla left Gibraltar to sail into the Atlantic.  The German movement from Kiel was not detected.

Game Note

To detect any enemy movement, an active unit must roll 1d6.  If the enemy is within 6 squares orthogonally the enemy are detected.  This may well end up in a set of individual maps for each combatant, but I hope not!
