Still a tad warm for my next job – lawn mowing. I might need to divest myself of the jacket and maybe even the waistcoat if no ladies are present. I will of course retain the boater and naturally it would not be seemly to display my woollen undershirt, so the collar and tie must remain.
I was considering a trip to the seaside today, but unfortunately I have hole in the elbow of my bathing suit.
Good to see that Standards are being maintained, General. I find that in this weather, donning a linen waistcoat and jacket, with silk cravat and Panama, is quite sufficient. Oh Bother, it’s raining now!

Linen is indeed an acceptable option, and was selected for the horse races on Thursday evening.
Thankfully the temperature dropped before I had to don thick wool for the 1640s during the weekend.
